Tuition $250.00

Basic Workshop: The Way of the Shaman® is a prerequisite for this class.

Course Description: In this unique experiential workshop you will have the opportunity to explore the nature, meaning, and use of dreams among shamanic peoples, with dream work practices from a range of cultures. Researched and developed by Michael Harner, subjects to be covered include shamanic dream theory and big dreams, as well as dreams and the soul, spirits, shamanic journeys, the Dreamtime, and the vision quest. You will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge to contemporary life, including the use of dreams in divination, health, and healing.

What to Bring: Please bring a rattle and/or a drum, a bandanna or other eye covering, a cushion and/or blanket, and a pen and notebook to record your journeys. Wear comfortable layered clothing and warm socks as you will be working with your shoes off. Chairs are available for those who do not want to sit on the floor.

Preparation for the Workshop: Participants are invited to bring a list, as personal reminders for their own use, of some of their own sleeping dreams or dream fragments. These can include ones that occurred as you were partially asleep while wakening. You are encouraged to invite sleeping dreams to occur in the weeks prior to the workshop and to make notes on them. This may be especially helpful for those who do not often recall sleeping dreams. It is useful to keep a notebook by the bed to record dreams or dream fragments. The workshop will be useful for participants whether or not they recall such dreams.
